SUMMARY:2025 EMER-GEN CONFERENCE (AMOS and SGAC)\, Sept 14-16\, 2025\, Maui\, Hawaii
DESCRIPTION:The AMOS conference organizers and the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) will hold the 2025 EMER-GEN meeting from September 14-16\, 2025 immediately prior to the 2025 AMOS conference at the same venue\, the Wailea Beach Resort Marriott on the Hawaiian island of Maui. \nEMER-GEN is for “young professionals and students enthuastiastic about careers in space.”  The AMOS conference itself is focused on space situational awareness. Maui is the site of DOD telescopes that track the locations of satellites. \nEMER-GEN is preceded by three preparatory webinars that begin on August 27 and participants are expected to attend all three. \nMore information is on the event’s website\, which says: \nA joint initiative of the AMOS Conference and SGAC\, the program is designed especially for young professionals and students enthusiastic about careers in space. \n\n\nWith the help of advisers from industry\, government\, academia and NGOs\, the EMER-GEN experience offers: \n\n\n\n\n\nMentoring with renowned space specialists from the public sector (military and civil)\, private sector\, and nongovernmental organizations\nNetworking with other young professionals\nTechnical Short course presented by specialists in space situational awareness\nInteractive Professional Development sessions to enhance your effectiveness in a global environment\, including challenges and table-top exercises.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe three (3) preliminary webinars have a focus on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among the cohort. These are an important part of the program and participants are expected to attend all three. Participants will be challenged to work in teams to pitch a solution to create new opportunities for space-based technologies.  \n\n\n
