DESCRIPTION:The 23rd International Planetary Probe Workshop will take place June 20-26\, 2026 at the JHU Bloomberg Center in Washington\, DC.  The Workshop is hosted by the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Applied Physics Lab and NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. \nJune 20-21 is a short course on  “Low-Cost EDL Missions and Technologies\,” with the workshop itself June 22-26. \nMore information is on the event’s website\, which says: \n  \n \n\n\nThe 23rd International Planetary Probe Workshop (IPPW) will be held in downtown Washington\, DC\, from June 22nd–26th\, 2026\, at the JHU Bloomberg Center. There will be a short course on “Low-Cost EDL Missions and Technologies” the preceding weekend\, June 20–21\, 2026.\nAbout the Workshop\nThe International Planetary Probe Workshop is an annual congregation of scientists\, engineers\, and technologists from around the world working in disciplines supporting planetary probes for exploration. The first workshop was held in Lisbon\, Portugal in 2003\, and IPPW has since alternated between the US and Europe as a nearly annual event. \n\n\nIPPW Goals\n\nReview state-of-the-art in robotic exploration probes & landers.\nProvide a forum for innovative mission concepts.\nAttract early career professionals into EDL & planetary surface exploration.\nFoster international collaboration.
