DESCRIPTION:Nordspace’s 2nd Canadian Space Launch Conference will take place on May 5\, 2026 at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum\, 11 Aviation Parkway\, Ottawa\, Ontario\, Canada from 7:30 am-7:00 pm ET. \nMore information is on the event’s website\, which says: \nThe Canadian Space Launch Conference (CSLC) marks the second time key stakeholders spanning industry\, government\, academia\, not-for-profit and beyond will gather to advance Canada’s future as a launching nation capable of sovereign access to space. There will be several new features at CSLC 2026 including doubling the attendee capacity to 400 guests\, creating a new dedicated technical content track\, opening a call for speakers\, and demonstrating real Canadian-made orbital-class rocket hardware. \nFor the first time in our nation’s history\, Canada has not only prioritized space launch and acknowledged it as a critical sovereign capability\, but also invested in it to the tune of nearly $200M. That is why the theme of CSLC 2026 is “Building a Spacefaring Nation”. Unlike CSLC 2025 which was focused on making the case for sovereign launch in Canada (view event recordings here)\, CSLC 2026 will be focused on how to make it happen. The nuts and bolts\, engines and tanks\, spaceports and regulations\, and more. \nCanada finds itself at a critical point today with our sovereignty and relevance in space at stake – ours is the only G7 nation and the only 5 Eyes nation without launch capabilities to date. The Canadian Space Launch Conference will be a day to help identify and address both barriers and opportunities towards making sovereign space launch a reality\, and gain updates from key stakeholders about progress on all things technology\, policy\, regulations\, infrastructure\, and more. \nThe CSLC is being organized by NordSpace\, a proudly Canadian end-to-end space missions company building its orbital launch vehicle (Tundra)\, commercial spaceport (Atlantic Spaceport Complex)\, and space systems/satellite division.
