2ND EXMAG/MEPAG JOINT WORKSHOP: MARS SAMPLE SCIENCE, ?, Houston, TX/virtual

Update, February 15:  The website now returns a “404 page not found” notice. NASA has canceled or postponed all meetings of its Analysis/Assessment Groups (AGs) in accordance with Trump White House direction.

Original Entry: NASA’s Extraterrestrial Materials Analysis Group (ExMAG) and Mars Exploration Program Analysis Group (MEPAG) will hold their second joint workshop from May 8-9, 2025 at the Lunar and Planetary Institute in Houston, Texas and virtually.

It will be held immediately following the ExMAG Hybrid Spring Meeting.

The topic is: :”Connecting Community Scientific Hypotheses to Mars Sample Science.”

More information is on the event’s website, which says:

“This workshop aims to improve the connection between the Mars scientific community and sample scientists from diverse domains, including early solar system planetary scientists. For the first time, we will have pristine samples from Mars, which can be analyzed using the full suite of terrestrial instrumentation and expertise. If you’ve ever wondered how your expertise can be applied to Mars returned samples, or how you can take advantage of the return of samples from Mars in the future, we want you to attend!”
