DESCRIPTION:The 9th Prague Space Security Conference will take place June 14-16\, 2026 in Prague\, the Czech Republic. \nThe theme this year is: “Space Races Reimagined: Lunar Ambitions\, Ground-Based Competition\, and Principled Governance.” \nMore information is on the event’s website\, which says: \n\n\n\nThe 9th Prague Space Security Conference will focus on strategic competition with China\, including how seemingly benign capital flows\, investment patterns\, and products (e.g.\, Exchanged-Traded Funds\, etc.)\, and industrial dependencies are largely being employed by China to erode the resilience\, autonomy\, and competitiveness of allied space sectors. It will also examine how China’s rapidly advancing cislunar and lunar ambitions intersect with its intensifying ground-based space race and underscore the urgent need for principled space stewardship. \nPanelists will also assess the impact of the Russian threat on alliance cohesion\, driving a shifting of security-related burdens across NATO\, the EU\, and Asia\, reshaping traditional areas of responsibility and demanding new models of allied burden-sharing.   \nIn a series of high-level panels and moderated discussions\, participants will examine concrete policy options\, operational approaches\, and regulatory tools to strengthen space governance. The programme will bring together some 200 senior government officials\, military leaders\, industry leaders\, and experts from around the world.  \n\n \n\n\n
