SUMMARY:ARTEMIS I LAUNCH (3rd Try)\, Nov 16\, 2022\, KSC\, 1:04 am ET
DESCRIPTION:Update\, November 8: The launch has been postponed because of Tropical Storm Nicole. Tentatively\, the new launch date is November 16\, with a 120 minute launch window opening at 1:04 am ET. That is contingent on what happens with the storm\, however. November 19 at 1:45 am ET is a backup date. \nUpdate\, November 5: NASA is still planning for launch on November 14. See our separate calendar entries for details on the November 11 pre-launch briefing\, November 12 pre-launch update\, and launch coverage beginning November 13 and continuing through launch and Trans-Lunar Injection on November 14. \nOriginal entry: NASA has set November 14\, 2022 at 12:07 am ET as the next attempt to launch the Artemis I uncrewed test flight of the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft around the Moon. \nThe launch window is open for 69 minutes that day. \nThe first two attempts on August 29 and September 3 were scrubbed for different reasons. \nNASA also chose November 16 and November 19 as backup launch dates\, but these can change. For example it had September 2 listed as the backup for August 29\, but shifted it to September 3 after the launch was scrubbed. \nThe full list of launch opportunities in November along with the number of minutes the launch window is open each time is as follows:
