SUMMARY:BLUE ORIGIN NEW SHEPARD-19 PASSENGER FLIGHT\, Dec 11\, 2021\, West Texas\, 9:45 am ET
DESCRIPTION:Update\, December 8:  The launch has been postponed to December 11 at 8:45 am Central Time (9:45 am Eastern) due to forecasted high winds. \n\nDue to forecasted winds on Thursday\, December 9 and Friday\, December 10\, the New Shepard launch team has made the call to delay the launch of NS-19 to Saturday\, December 11. Liftoff from Launch Site One is targeted for 8:45am CST / 14:45 UTC. \nThe team has completed Flight Readiness Review and confirmed the vehicle has met all mission requirements for launch. Astronauts will complete training today and weather remains as the only gating factor for launch. \nLive launch coverage of NS-19 begins on BlueOrigin.com at T-90 minutes. Follow Blue Origin on Twitter\, to stay up to date on all mission details. \n\nUpdate\, December 6:  The launch time is now scheduled for 8:50 am Central Time (9:50 am Eastern) according to this tweet from Blue Origin VP for Sales\, Marketing & Customer Experience Clay Mowry. \n\nLove the NS-19 mission patch. Tune in for our 3rd human flight this Thursday Dec. 9 with liftoff at 8:50 am CST. 🚀 https://t.co/3NeNkr5Lg3 \n— Clay Mowry (@ClayMowry) December 6\, 2021 \n \nOriginal Entry: Blue Origin will launch its third New Shepard passenger flight on December 9\, 2021.  It is the 19th New Shepard flight overall and is designated New Shepard-19 (NS-19). \nLaunch is currently scheduled for 9:00 am Central Time (10:00 am ET) from Blue Origin’s launch site near Van Horn\, TX.  Live launch coverage at BlueOrigin.com will begin 90 minutes before launch (so the launch time slips\, which is common\, so will the broadcast).  Check Blue Origin’s website for up to the minute information. \nThis will be the first flight with a full complement of six passengers (the first two carried four each). Two are guests\, the other four are paying customers. Neither Blue Origin nor any of the customers to date have revealed how much they are paying. \nThe six on NS-19 are: \n\nLaura Shepard Churchley\, Chair\, Astronaut Scholarship Foundation Board of Trustees\, and daughter of Alan Shepard\, the first American in space (May 5\, 1961) for whom the New Shepard rocket is named (guest)\nMichael Strahan\, co-host ABC’s Good Morning America and former Super Bowl Champion (guest\, although Blue Origin says he is a member of the “crew” and is being paid a stipend that will be donated to Boys and Girls Club)\nDylan Taylor\, CEO and Chairman\, Voyager Space\, and founder of the non-profit Space for Humanity (customer)\nEvan Dick\, engineer\, investor and Managing Member of Dick Holdings (customer)\nLance Bess\, principal and founder of Bess Ventures and Advisory (customer)\nCameron Bess\, Lance Bess’s child\, who “identifies as pansexual” (customer)
