SUMMARY:BLUE ORIGIN NEW SHEPARD RETURN TO FLIGHT (NS-24)\, Dec 19\, 2023\, West Texas\, 11:37 am ET
DESCRIPTION:Update\, December 18\, 11:20 pm ET:  The next attempt will be tomorrow\, Decemeber 19\, at 11:37 am ET (10:37 am Central Time). \n\nOur next #NS24 launch window opens tomorrow\, Dec. 19\, at 10:37 AM CST / 16:37 UTC. Webcast starts T-20 minutes to launch on https://t.co/7Y4TherXAZ. \n— Blue Origin (@blueorigin) December 18\, 2023 \n\nUpdate\, December 18:  The launch was delayed an hour due to cold weather and then scrubbed due to a “ground system” issue. \n\nWe’re scrubbing #NS24 today due to a ground system issue the team is troubleshooting. We’ll provide a new launch target for this week soon. \n— Blue Origin (@blueorigin) December 18\, 2023 \n \n\nWe’re pushing our T-0 time to no earlier than 09:30 CST / 15:30 UTC due to cold temperatures at Launch Site One. Webcast starts T-20 minutes to launch on https://t.co/7Y4TherpLr. #NS24 \n— Blue Origin (@blueorigin) December 18\, 2023 \n \nUpdate December 16: Blue Origin confirms the launch is December 18. Liftoff is targeted for 8:30 am CENTRAL Time (9:30 am Eastern). The company will webcast the launch beginning 20 minutes in advance. Note that these launches often are delayed for minutes or hours due to weather or last minute technical hitches. The best way to keep up is by following Blue Origin on X or the company’s other social media outlets. \nMore information about what payloads will be flown is on the Blue Origin website. No people are aboard this flight. \nThis is New Shepard’s 24th flight and designated NS-24. \nOriginal Entry: Blue Origin is targeting December 18\, 2023 for the launch of its suborbital New Shepard rocket\, the first flight since a failure on September 12\, 2022. The time was not announced as of December 12. \nNew Shepard sometime carries passengers\, but did not on that flight (NS-23) and will not on this one (NS-24) either.  Instead it is launching science and research payloads. \n\nWe’re targeting a launch window that opens on Dec. 18 for our next New Shepard payload mission. #NS24 will carry 33 science and research payloads as well as 38\,000 @clubforfuture postcards to space. #FortheBenefitofEarth \n— Blue Origin (@blueorigin) December 12\, 2023
