DESCRIPTION:George Washington University’s Space Policy Institute will hold a book signing event on December 5\, 2019 from 3:30-4:30 pm ET at the Elliott School of International Affairs\, 1957 E Street\, NW\, Suite 505\, Washington\, DC. \nAlan Ladwig will sign copies of his book “See You in Orbit? Our Dream of Spaceflight.”  Ladwig was in charge of NASA’s Space Flight Participant program in the 1980s\, which included the Teacher in Space Program.  He also has extensive experience in private sector efforts to make spaceflight available to everyone\, not just specially trained astronauts.  In a review in The Space Review\, Jeff Foust said “His book offers a thorough and entertaining examination of efforts\, at NASA and industry\, to open up space to more than just test pilots.” \nRegistration for the book signing is free\, but appreciated.
