DESCRIPTION:Alan Stern and David Grinspoon will discuss and participate in a book signing for their new book “Chasing New Horizons: Inside the Epic First Mission to Pluto” at the Politics and Prose bookstore\, 5015 Connecticut Ave\, NW\, Washington\, DC from 7:00-8:00 pm ET on May 1\, 2018. \nThe New Horizons spacecraft was the first to fly by Pluto (in 2015) and is now enroute to fly past a Kuiper Belt object at the outer edge of the solar system on New Year’s Eve 2018-2019. \nStern is the Principal Investigator of the New Horizons mission.  Grinspoon is the author of Earth in Human Hands and inaugural Chair of Astrobiology at the Library of Congress. \nNo reservations or RSVP are necessary for the book signing.
