DESCRIPTION:The Electronics Division of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) will hold a meeting at the Lockheed Martin Global Vision Center in Arlington\, VA on January 28\, 2020 from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm ET on the theme “Commercial and Defense Interests in Space: Implications for Microelectronics.” \nThe meeting is open only to U.S. citizens and is closed to the press. \nDan Goldin\, CEO and Founder of KnuEdge and former NASA Administrator\, is the keynote speaker according to the agenda. \nThe event’s website describes the meeting this way: \nJoin us at the Lockheed Martin Global Vision Center in Arlington\, VA\, as we explore the intersection of commercial and defense activity in space. This meeting will cover a variety of topics\, including: \n\nR&D challenges\nRadiation hardening and extreme temperature regimes\nThe health of the industrial base\, particularly testing infrastructure\n\nWe will dive into supply chain issues\, discussing assurance and the role that it plays in the commercial space sector.
