DESCRIPTION:NASA will hold a series of briefings and interviews on September 29\, 2020 as part as the lead-up to the launch of SpaceX’s first operational crew mission to the International Space Station\, Crew-1. \nThe launch is scheduled for October 23. It will take three NASA astronauts and 1 from JAXA to the ISS for a long-duration mission: Michael Hopkins\, Vic Glover\, Shannon Waker\, and Soichi Noguchi. \nThe schedule of briefings on September 29 is as follows.  All will be broadcast on NASA TV and NASA Live. \n11 a.m. – NASA’s Commercial Crew Program News Conference with the following participants: \n\nNASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine\nKathy Lueders\, associate administrator\, Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate\, NASA Headquarters\nPhil McAlister\, director\, Commercial Spaceflight Development\, NASA Headquarters\nHans Koenigsmann\, vice president\, Build and Flight Reliability\, SpaceX\n\n12:30 p.m. – Crew-1 Mission Overview News Conference with the following participants: \n\nSteve Stich\, manager\, Commercial Crew Program\, NASA’s Johnson Space Center\nKenny Todd\, deputy manager\, International Space Station\, NASA’s Johnson Space Center\nAnthony Vareha\, NASA flight director\, NASA’s Johnson Space Center\nBenji Reed\, director\, Crew Mission Management\, SpaceX\n\n·      Junichi Sakai\, manager\, International Space Station\, JAXA \n2 p.m. – Crew News Conference with the following participants: \n\nAstronaut Michael Hopkins\, spacecraft commander\, NASA’s SpaceX Crew-1 mission\nAstronaut Victor Glover\, pilot\, NASA’s SpaceX Crew-1 mission\nAstronaut Shannon Walker\, mission specialist\, NASA’s SpaceX Crew-1 mission\nAstronaut Soichi Noguchi\, mission specialist\, NASA’s SpaceX Crew-1 mission\n\n3:30 p.m. – Round Robin Crew Interviews \n\nCrew-1 astronauts will be available for a limited number of remote interviews following the news conference.
