DESCRIPTION:Update\, April 25:  The event’s website has not been updated since March 12.  If we get new information\, we will add it here. \nUpdate\, March 14:  This workshop has been postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak.  This notice is posted on the event’s website and states that some virtual sessions may be scheduled on April 28\, 29 0r 30.   Check that website for further information. \n\nUpdate as of March 12\, 2020 \nDear workshop attendees: \nIt will likely come as no surprise\, but we are nevertheless very sad to report that we have decided to postpone the “2020 In Situ Science and Instrumentation Workshop for the Exploration of Europa and Ocean Worlds.” Given the evolving situation with COVID-19\, postponing this conference is the right thing to do. \nWe will maintain this list of 362 registrants (wow!) and update you all in the days to weeks to come. We will almost certainly not host the in person meeting until after the launch of Mars 2020 (mid/late-July)\, and we will try to host it before the end of January 2021. \nIn the meantime\, we actually have some GOOD NEWS….in lieu of hosting the full in person meeting\, we are working on a plan to host a four- to six-hour HALF-DAY VIRTUAL CONFERENCE during which we present some of the talks relevant to the mission and technology development work that is ongoing at JPL\, GSFC\, APL\, MSFC\, and Sandia. On the “Program” page linked from the top of this site\, you will find the agenda that we had recently refined for the full workshop. The talks that we will present during the virtual conference will be a subset of these. We will not have any invited talk sessions during this half-day event. \nWe are still working on the logistics of which day (April 28th\, 29th\, or 30th) makes the most sense for the virtual conference\, so please keep those days clear for now. We will likely run the virtual conference from 9 AM Pacific until 3 PM Pacific so that a wide range of time zones can join in without too much of a burden on your daily lives. \nWe have been thrilled by the excitement and interest in this conference and we thank you for your hard work on abstracts\, talks\, and posters.
