Requests for accommodations to a disability must be \nreceived by June 15\, 2020.\n    Requests to speak during the meeting must be submitted by June 15\, \n2020\, to DOT and include a written copy of their remarks. Requests to \nsubmit written materials to be reviewed during the meeting must be \nreceived by DOT no later than June 15\, 2020.\n    Notices for the September 2020 and March 2021 meetings will be \npublished in the Federal Register at least 15 calendar days before the \nday of the meeting.\n\nADDRESSES: The June 15\, 2020 meeting will be an internet-only meeting. \nNo physical meeting is planned. Background\n\n    The Commercial Space Transportation Advisory Committee was created \nunder the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA)\, in accordance with \nPublic Law 92-463. Since its inception\, COMSTAC has provided \ninformation\, advice\, and recommendations to the U.S. Department of \nTransportation through FAA regarding technology\, business\, and policy \nissues relevant to oversight of the U.S. commercial space \ntransportation sector.\n\nII. Agenda\n\n    At the June 22\, 2020 meeting\, the agenda will cover the following \ntopics:\nSecretary of Transportation Elaine Chao Welcome Remarks\nFAA Administrator Steve Dickson Welcome Remarks\nFAA Associate Administrator for Commercial Space Transportation\, Gen. \nWayne Monteith Welcome Remarks\nCommittee Member Introductions\nFAA/AST Updates\nAST's Priorities for 2020-2021\nPublic Comments/Other Business\n\nIII. Public Participation\n\n    The June 22\, 2020 meeting is open to the public. The meeting can be \nviewed by the public using the internet website link posted above. The \nU.S. Department of Transportation is committed to providing equal \naccess to this meeting for all participants. If you need alternative \nformats or services because of a disability\, such as sign language\, \ninterpretation\, or other ancillary aids\, please contact the person \nlisted in the FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT section by June 15\, 2020.\n    There will be approximately thirty minutes allotted for oral \ncomments from members of the public joining a COMSTAC meeting. To \naccommodate as many speakers as possible\, the time for each commenter \nmay be limited. Individuals wishing to reserve speaking time during the \nmeeting must submit a request at the time of registration\, as well as \nthe name\, address\, and organizational affiliation of the proposed \nspeaker. If the number of registrants requesting to make statements is \ngreater than can be reasonably accommodated during the meeting\, the FAA \nOffice of Commercial Space Transportation may conduct a lottery to \ndetermine the speakers. Speakers are requested to submit a written copy \nof their prepared remarks for inclusion in the meeting records and for \ncirculation to COMSTAC members. All prepared remarks submitted on time \nwill be accepted and considered as part of the record. Any member of \nthe public may present a written statement to the committee at any \ntime.\n\n\nUpdate\, May 18:  This meeting has been postponed. No new date was set.  [On Saturday\, May 16\, the White House National Space Council announced that it will be meeting this same morning\, which probably caused the decision to postpone.] \nUpdate\, May 15:  The agenda and sign-on information are now posted on the COMSTAC website. \nOriginal Entry: The FAA’s Commercial Space Transportation Advisory Committee (COMSTAC) will meet virtually on May 19\, 2020 from 8:45 am – 3:00 pm ET. \nA draft agenda is posted on the COMSTAC website.  A detailed agenda and a link to the Zoom meeting presumably will be posted there in due course.
