SUMMARY:FAA PUBLIC HEARING ON STARSHIP ENVIRONMENTAL ASSMNT (2 OF 2)\, Oct 20\, 2021\, virtual\, 6:00 pm ET
DESCRIPTION:The FAA will hold public hearings on October 18 and October 20\, 2021 where the public may comment on its draft programmatic environmental assessment of SpaceX’s Starship/Super Heavy activities at its Starbase facility in Boca Chica\, Texas. The hearings are at 5:00 pm Central Time (6:00 pm Eastern) each day. \nThe public comment period is open through November 1.  Emailed information from the FAA about how to participate is as follows: \n———- \nThe SpaceX Starship/Super Heavy project Draft Programmatic Environmental Assessment is currently available for public comment through Nov. 1. Two virtual public hearings are scheduled for: \n\nMonday\, October 18\, 2021\, 5:00 p.m. (Central Time)\nWednesday\, October 20\, 2021\, 5:00 p.m. (Central Time)\n\nAt the hearings\, the FAA will provide a project overview in English and Spanish. Afterwards\, members of the public can provide oral comments. A court reporter will transcribe the hearings. A translator will be available to translate comments into Spanish.
