The American Astronautical Society (AAS) will hold its next Future in Space Hangout on April 6, 2017 at 3:00 pm ET. The guests this week at Dr. Arnauld Nicogossian, George Mason University and Charles Doarn, University of Cincinnatti, who will dicuss current knowledge that underpins human health in space and engineering challenges in long-duration human spaceflight.

Footsteps to Mars: “Safe When They Arrive”

Senior NASA leadership has often observed that humans are closer to their first mission to Mars than ever before in history. Critical to human exploration of Mars will be active and healthy astronauts when they arrive at the Red Planet.
Join Tony Darnell, Harley Thronson and Alberto Conti as they discuss with Dr. Arnauld Nicogossian (George Mason University) and Mr. Charles Doarn (University of Cincinnati) current knowledge that underpins human health in space, as well as engineering challenges in long-duration human space flight.
The best place to watch the hangout will be on YouTube, broadcast on the Deep Astronomy Channel.
