We are in the process of re-assessing the overall schedule of IACs and will inform you within the coming weeks about the new dates. As a consequence\, the Call for Applications to Host the IAC in 2023 is suspended and a new Call for Hosting IAC 2024 will be opened in November 2020. \nThe health and safety of our community is of utmost importance to IAF. This is a very challenging time for everyone and we appreciate your understanding and support. \nAlso\, the Global Space Exploration Conference – GLEX 2020 in St. Petersburg\, and the Global Space Conference on Climate Change – GLOC 2021 in Oslo will be postponed by a year to 2021 and 2022 respectively. New dates will be communicated in the coming months. \nHaving worked so intensively with our International Programme Committees\, volunteers\, speakers\, authors\, sponsors\, exhibitors\, and partners preparing these events over the past years\, we are genuinely disappointed to be forced to postpone\, and we would like to thank all our partners for their contributions\, support and strong engagement. The IAF will continue to serve our community with manifold events and activities in the future and live up to our motto “Connecting @ll Space People”\, even if only virtually during these challenging times. As the past IAF Virtual Spring Meetings have been reminding us\, great things happen when the community comes together and connects at the IAF. \n#StaySafe!\nKind regards\,\nIAF Secretariat \n\nUpdate\, March 30: The conference has been postponed to September 1-3\, 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.  The IAF sent this email today: \nFirst of all\, please allow us to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for your interest and anticipation for our Global Space Exploration Conference GLEX 2020. \nWe deeply regret to inform you that due to the current COVID-19 situation\, the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) and ROSCOSMOS have agreed that the Global Space Exploration Conference (GLEX 2020) will be postponed to the dates of 1-3 September 2020. It is our firm commitment to organize this important conference under circumstances and at dates that will assure safety of all participants and will allow everybody to travel. With this in mind we will continue to monitor the situation closely and – depending on the global developments – by mid June we intend to re-confirm the date of 1 – 3 September 2020 or inform about any eventually necessary further postponement. \nWe wish to thank each and every participant who have supported us right from the start and greatly appreciate your patience and understanding. \n  \nOriginal entry: The International Astronautical Federation (IAF) will hold the 2020 Global Space Exploration Conference (GLEX 2020) from June 9-11\, 2020 in St. Petersburg\, Russia.  The conference is co-organized with Russia’s space state corporation Roscosmos. \nMore information is on the event’s website.
