DESCRIPTION:The House Armed Services Committee (HASC) will hold a “Member Day” hearing on May 16\, 2023 at 10:00 am ET in 2118 Rayburn House Office Building where Members of Congress have an opportunity to express their views to the committee about priorities for defense spending. \nThe hearing will be webcast on the committee’s website. \nHASC had planned to mark up the FY2024 National Defense Authorization Act starting on May 11 with subcommittee markups\, with full committee markup on May 23. However\, House Republican Leadership directed that the markups be postponed until negotiations with the White House over the debt limit are further along.
