DESCRIPTION:The United Nations of Outer Space Affairs will hold a symposium in Graz\, Austria from September 3-7\, 2017 as part of its preparations for UNISPACE+50. \nThe September symposium is entitled Access to Space: Holistic Capacity Building for the 21st Century and will open a dialogue “to discuss innovative approaches to capacity building in the space domain\, particularly in the areas of applicatons and technology\, policy and law\, including the need to measure progress and development\, identification of partners\, tools for capacity-building and funding opportunities and aims at providing recommendations” to the U.N. Committee on Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) for UNISPACE+50. \nMore information is on the event’s website. \nMore information on UNISPACE+50 is on the U.N. website.  It is a conference scheduled for June 21-22\, 2018 in Vienna\, Austria to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first UNISPACE conference held in 1968.
