DESCRIPTION:The Space and Aeronautics Subcommittee of the House Science\, Space\, and Technology (SS&T) Committee will hold a hearing on April 1\, 2025 at 10:00 am ET in 2318 Rayburn House Office Building.  The hearing will be webcast on the committee’s website. \nThe topic is: “Leveraging Commercial Innovation for Lunar Exploration: A Review of NASA’s CLPS Initiative.” \nCLPS is the Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) initiative where NASA purchases delivery services from commercial companies to put NASA payloads on the surface of the Moon.  Three companies have launched CLPS missions so far — Astrobotic (Peregine)\, Intuitive Machines (IM-1 and IM-2)\, and Firefly Aerospace (Blue Ghost Mission-1).  Representatives of each of those companies as well as from NASA and the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab will testify. \n\nDr. Nicola Fox\, Associate Administrator\, Science Mission Directorate\, National Aeronautics and Space Administration\nDr. Brett W.
