DESCRIPTION:Update September 15\, 7:50 am ET:  The mission is on track for launch at 8:02 pm ET this evening. Stay tuned for more updates soon! https://t.co/nhZRJvvX1l pic.twitter.com/Z4pRlmv4Ew \n— Inspiration4 (@inspiration4x) September 12\, 2021 \n \nThe crew is: \n\nJared Isaacman\, commander\nSian Proctor\, pilot\nHayley Arceneaux\, medical officer\nChris Sembroski\, mission specialist\n\n  \nUpdate\, September 10:  The mission tweeted today that the launch will take place No Earlier Than (NET) 8:00 pm ET on September 15. \n\nOur crew is continuing final preparations for launch and teams are targeting no earlier than 8:00 p.m. ET on September 15 for liftoff of #Inspiration4. \nSpaceX and Inspiration4 will narrow down the launch window to five hours approximately three days before liftoff. pic.twitter.com/l6zmkGk6Zo \n— Inspiration4 (@inspiration4x) September 10\, 2021 \n \nOriginal Entry: Inspiration4\, the first launch of a crew composed entirely of non-professional astronauts\, is tentatively scheduled for September 15\, 2021 from Kennedy Space Center\, FL on a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecract and Falcon 9 rocket. \nThe crew is composed of wealthy entrepreneur Jared Isaacman\, 38\, who is using the mission to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research hospital. He is paying SpaceX for the entire mission. An experienced non-professional pilot\, he will be spacecraft commander. He is taking three people with him and says the four-person crew represents the mission pillars of Leadership\, Hope\, Generosity\, and Prosperity.  He is Leadership. \nJoining him are: \n\nHaley Arceneaux\, who was a cancer patient at St. Jude when she was 10 and is now 29 and a physican’s assistant there. She was chosen by Isaacman to represent Hope. She is the first person to fly into space with a prosthesis (she had bone cancer and part of her left leg was removed and replaced with prostethic bones.)\n\n\n.@ArceneauxHayley explains the touching reason why she’s bringing her dad’s St. Jude tie to space. pic.twitter.com/54JTiOgqPh \n— TODAY (@TODAYshow) August 18\, 2021 \n \n\nSian Proctor\, the winner of a competition using Isaacman’s Shift4Shop platform to create a video explaining why she should be chosen. She previously was a finalist in a NASA astronaut selection and has taken part in “analog” missions that simulate long duration missions such as those to Mars. She has a pilot’s license and will serve as pilot on this mission. She is Prosperity.\nChris Sembroski\, who is making the trip because a friend won a lottery ticket (from a group of people who contributed to St. Jude via the Inspiration4 website) for this flight but could not go himself and offered the chance to Sembroski.  He is Generosity.\n\nThe four will orbit the Earth for three days\, but will not dock at the International Space Station. \nDetails\, including launch time\, are TBA.
