SUMMARY:INTERNATIONAL SPACE EXPLORATION FORUM-2 (ISEF 2)\, Mar 3\, 2018\, Tokyo\, Japan
DESCRIPTION:The second ministerial-level International Space Exploration Forum (ISEF 2) will take place March 3\, 2018 in Tokyo\, Japan. \nThe first ISEF was held in Washington\, DC on January 9\, 2014 to bring together top level representatives of countries interested in space activities\, especially human space exploration.   This is the second of what is expected to be a series of these meetings. \nThe U.S. State Department hosted the first one.  Japan’s Ministry for Education\, Culture\, Sports\, Science\, and Technology (MEXT)\, which oversees the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)\, is the host for ISEF2.   “The event will be a gathering of high-level governmental representatives who will examine how space exploration expands the horizons of humanity and how it challenges us to gain and share the knowledge\, experiences and benefits as common assets for all humankind. Discussion will stress the importance of building global cooperation in an appropriate framework for international space exploration including its sustainable development.” \nMore information is on the ISEF2 website. \nTwo side-events will also be held\, one for Young Professionals (Y-ISEF) and the other for Industry (I-ISEF).  Information on those forums also is on the ISEF2 website.
