DESCRIPTION:Update\, March 4:  IM announced that the landing will be at 11:32 am CENTRAL Time (12:32 pm Eastern) on March 6.  Live coverage begins at 10:30 am Central (11:30 am Eastern) on IM’s website and NASA+. \n\nAthena successfully entered her intended circular orbit around the Moon on March 3. \nFlight controllers expect Athena to complete 39 lunar orbits until her south pole region landing site has adequate sunlight to power surface operations. \nIntuitive Machines expects a landing… pic.twitter.com/qrKbwskmtf \n— Intuitive Machines (@Int_Machines) March 3\, 2025 \n \nOriginal Entry: Intuitive Machines’s IM-2 mission will land on the Moon on March 6\, 2025.  We’re told it will be around lunchtime (Central Standard Time) and live coverage will be provided on NASA+\, but details haven’t been announced as of March 2. \nIM-2 launched on February 26 and is carrying 10 NASA payloads. It will land closer to the Moon’s South Pole than any previous spacecraft. \n  \n
