DESCRIPTION:Japanese lunar lander company ispace will provide a livestream for the launch of its SMBC x HAKUTO-R Venture Moon mission on January 15\, 2025 beginning at 2:20 pm Japan Standard Time (12:20 am Eastern Standard Time). \nThe launch on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center is scheduled for 1:11 am EST.  ispace’s livestream will cover through deployment of the Hakuto-R lander\, Resilience\, and micro-rover\, Tenacious\, from the Falcon 9.  Participants include: \n\nTakeshi Hakamada\, CEO & Founder\, ispace\, inc.\nYoshitsugu Hitachi\, EVP of ispace\, inc.\nMasayuki Urata\, Senior Manager\, Business Development\, ispace\, inc.\nSpecial Guest: Former JAXA Astronaut\n\nThe livestream will be available in English and Japanese. \nispace is ridesharing with Firefly’s Blue Ghost lunar lander. The two will launch on the same Falcon 9 rocket\, but otherwise are unrelated.  Firefly’s lander is part of NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) initiative and NASA and SpaceX will be livestreaming the launch for Firefly’s mission.
