ISS CREW TO RELOCATE CREW DRAGON TO DIFFERENT PORT, Apr 5, 2021, Earth orbit, 6:30/7:15 am ET

Update:  The undocking time has been refined to 6:30 am ET instead of 6:29.

Original Entry: The four International Space Station (ISS) crew members who arrived on SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Resilience last November, designated “Crew-1,” will board the spacecraft on April 5 for a short ride around the ISS to dock at a different port.

NASA astronauts Mike Hopkins, Victor Glover, and Shannon Walker, and JAXA astronaut Soichi Noguchi, arrived on and will return to Earth on Resilience.  They all must be aboard for this short flight just in case anything goes awry and they cannot redock and instead must return home.

They will undock from the forward port of the Harmony module at 6:29 am ET and redock at Harmony’s space-facing port at 7:15 am ET.

NASA TV coverage begins at 6:00 am ET.

The forward port is needed for Crew-2, the next ISS crew to arrive on a SpaceX Crew Dragon. They are scheduled to launch on April 22.
