DESCRIPTION:Update\, January 26\, 2025:  The website now says the event is virtual only because of time zone challenges and is two days (January 28-29) instead of three. \n \nOriginal Entry: The Lunar and Planetary Institute will hold a workshop on “Itokawa and the Dawn of Asteroidal Sample Return” from January 28-30\, 2025. \nMore information is on the event’s website\, which says: \nThe LPI’s upcoming Itokawa and the Dawn of Asteroidal Sample Return workshop will highlight and focus on Itokawa samples\, the Hayabusa mission\, asteroid-meteorite connections\, and other past\, present\, and future asteroidal sample return missions through a combination of invited and contributed presentations\, panel discussions\, and LPI lab tours. \nThe LPI’s Expanding NASA’s Community of Planetary Sample Scientists (ENComPSS) program is supporting this workshop at the Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI).
