DESCRIPTION:Update\, July 16:  The program is posted.  Note that times on the agenda are Pacific Daylight Time (add 3 for Eastern). \nUpdate\, March 11:  The organizers have changed the dates to July 20-23. \n** DATE CHANGE ** \nPlease note that due to the rescheduling of the DART mission launch\, we have decided to move the virtual Joint 2021 NESF & ELS meeting to July 20-23\, 2021. \nOriginal Entry: NASA’s SSERVI and its European partner organizations will hold a joint conference on July 13-16\, 2021.  It will take place virtually.  The conference combines SSERVI’s Exploration Science Forum and the European Lunar Symposium. \nThe emailed Save the Date notice is reproduced below. \nSSERVI and its European partner organizations are proud to announce the NASA Exploration Science Forum and European Lunar Symposium\, to be held jointly 13-16 July\, 2021 as a virtual meeting.  This conference will bring together scientists from around the world to focus on science which enables human exploration\, and science enabled by human exploration. \nWith NASA’s Artemis program and its partners from Europe and around the globe\, coupled with the developing lunar industry and other missions from NASA and international space agencies\, the opportunity for a new generation of lunar science experiments to probe our nearest neighbor has never been greater.  This joint conference will explore current and future plans and share new\, exciting results in a wide range of fields encompassing exploration science. \nThe continuing COVID-19 pandemic necessitates a virtual meeting.  While we all look forward to a day when we can meet in person again\, it is important to recognize a set of principles important to the success of this meeting – scientific exchange\, bringing the community together in novel ways\, promoting the next generation of exploration scientists\, and creating bridges – between science and exploration\, and between international partners.  In future messages\, we will share more as we develop plans to enable all of these. \nAnother announcement will be sent prior to the end of February when abstract submission is open\, with the website and abstract due date. \nWe look forward to seeing you at this conference. \n  \nSincerely\, \nConference Co-Chairs \nGreg Schmidt\nDirector\, SSERVI \n  \nMahesh Anand\nThe Open University\, UK\n(on behalf of all European nodes of SSERVI)
