DESCRIPTION:South Korea’s lunar orbiter\, the Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO)\, also known as Danuri\, developed and managed by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KATRI)\, will enter orbit around the Moon on December 16\, 2022 after a more than 4-month journey (it launched on a Falcon 9 on August 4). The time is not specified. \nMore information is on NASA-Goddard’s website and on KARI’s. \nThe 550 kilogram satellite carries five scientific instruments to study the Moon from orbit\, one of which\, ShadowCam\, was developed through NASA\, which also is contributing communications and navigation support.
