See our separate calendar entries for those events. \nUpdate\, Sepember 16:  The launch has been delayed again\, to NET September 27. \nUpdate\, August 28: The launch has been postponed to No Earlier Than (NET) September 23.  NASA announced the delay in an August 27 press release but did not explain why.  However\, a report in a local Santa Barbara\, CA (near VAFB) newspaper says it is because of delays in delivery of liquid nitrogen due to the COVID pandemic. \nOriginal Entry: NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey will launch Landsat 9\, the next in the Landsat series of earth observation satellites launched since 1972\, on September 16\, 2021 from Vandenberg Air Force Base\, CA at 2:11 pm ET.  Launch is on a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket.
