SUMMARY:LAUNCH OF FIRST TERRAN-1 3D PRINTED ROCKET\, 3rd Attempt (Relativity)\, Mar 22\, 2023\, Cape Canaveral\, FL\, 10:00 pm ET (livestream begins 9:30 pm ET)
DESCRIPTION:Update\, March 22: As of 1:15 pm ET the launch is still on for 10:00 pm ET tonight. The livestream will begin at 9:30 pm ET. \nUpdate\, March 17:  The third attempt has been scheduled for March 22 at 10:00 pm ET. The three-hour window is open until March 23 1:00 am ET. \n\nJoin us late night on March 22nd for our #GLHF launch\, part 3. Our launch window is from 22:00 – 01:00ET. Nighttime skies mean very cool methane rocket engine plumes.😎 https://t.co/ccyT1Gahqo \n— Relativity Space (@relativityspace) March 17\, 2023 \n \nUpdate\, March 11:  The launch scrubbed again today.  Just a minute or so before the first attempt a boat entered the restricted area and they had to hold.  They recycled and got all the way to 0.5 second before launch — after the nine main engines had fired — and the automated system aborted the launch. Relativity said only that a launch commit criteria had been violated\, but did not say which one.  Whatever it was\, they were able to recycle yet again and set liftoff for 4:00 pm ET\, the very end of the launch window\, but the launch aborted at T-45 seconds. Computers control the countdown after T-70 seconds so it was another automated abort. A new launch date has not been announced. \nUpdate\, March 8:  The launch was scrubbed twice today due to problems with the temperature of the propellant.  They will try again on Saturday\, March 11\, at 1:00 pm ET. \nOriginal Entry: Relativity Space has set March 8\, 2023 for the first launch of Terran-1\, its 3D printed rocket\, from Launch Complex 16 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station\, FL. The rocket uses methane/LOX (methalox) propellant. \nThe launch window is open from 1:00-4:00 pm ET and the launch will be livestreamed beginning at 12:00 pm ET. \nRelativity says this specific rocket is 85% 3D printed and their goal is to get to 95%. \nThey call the mission: Good Luck\, Have Fun or GLHF. \n
