DESCRIPTION:Update\, October 25:  The launch is scheduled for tonight at 8:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (which will be Sunday\, October 26\, 9:00 am in Japan). \nNASA will provide live coverage\, but with minimal technical commentary due to the government shutdown\, on their YouTube channel starting at 7:45 pm ET.  JAXA will provide live coverage at the link in this post on X: \n  \n\nHTV-X1とH3ロケット7号機、10月26日リフトオフ🚀打上げライブ中継は下記リンクからご覧いただけます✨\n🎥Activity Report mini🎥#JAXA #HTVX pic.twitter.com/bz9pr93g3I \n— JAXA（宇宙航空研究開発機構） (@JAXA_jp) October 24\, 2025 \n\nUpdate\, October 19:  The launch has been postponed due to bad weather\, which will last for several days so a new date is not being set for now. \n \nOriginal Entry: The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) will launch its first upgraded HTV cargo vehicle\, HTV-X\, to the International Space Station on October 21\, 2025 at 10:58 am Japan Standard Time (October 20\, 9:58 pm EDT). The last of the nine original HTVs was launched in 2020. \nAs the first HTV-X\, this is desginated HTV-X1. \nMore information is on JAXA’s website. \nThe original HTVs were launched on Japan’s H-II rocket and “HTV” stood for  H-II Transfer Vehicle.  The H-II rocket has been replaced by the new H3. This will be the seventh flight of the H3.
