SUMMARY:LAUNCH OF NG-18 CYGNUS CARGO MISSION TO ISS\, Nov 7\, 2022\, Wallops Island\, VA\, 5:27 am ET
DESCRIPTION:Update\, November 6\, 5:55 am EST:  The launch was scrubbed at T-11 minutes because a fire alarm went off at the Mission Control Center in Dulles\, VA and the building had to be evacuated. Dulles MCC controls the mission after spacecraft separation so must be fully operational before launch. \nThey will try again tomorrow\, November 7\, at 5:27 am ET\, with NASA TV coverage beginning at 5:00 am ET and arrival at ISS on Wednesday. \nOriginal Entry: NASA and Northrop Grumman are targeting November 6\, 2022 for the launch of the 18th Cygnus cargo spacecraft on an Antares rocket to the International Space Station. \nThe launch is scheduled for November 6 at 5:50 am Eastern Standard Time.  NASA TV coverage begins at 5:30 am EST. \nNote that the United States changes from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time at 2:00 am that morning\, November 6\, so be sure to adjust your clocks accordingly. \nThe launch will take place from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) at Wallops Flight Facility\, Wallops Island\, VA. \nNorthrop Grumman names its Cygnus spacecraft in memory of individuals who helped the progress of human spaceflight. NG-18 is named for Sally Ride\, the first American woman in space. \nIf launch takes place as scheduled\, Cygnus will dock with the ISS on November 8. NASA TV will begin coverage at 4:30 am EST.
