LAUNCH OF SPACEX CRS-21 (SpX-21) CARGO MISSION TO ISS, Dec 6, 2020, KSC, 11:17 am ET

Update, December 5:  The launch has been postponed one day, to December 6 at 11:17 am ET, because of bad weather at the booster recover site (the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket will land on an autonomous drone ship off the coast of Florida).

Update, November 24:  NASA TV coverage of the launch will begin at 11:15 am ET on December 5. If the launch takes place as scheduled, SpX-21 will dock with the ISS at 11:30 am ET on December 6 and NASA TV coverage will begin at 9:30 am ET that day.

Update, November 23:  The launch has been postponed to December 5 at 11:39 pm ET “to enable additional time to evaluate flight data from Crew-1 and close out certification work ahead of the first flight of the cargo version of Dragon 2.”

This is the first flight of a new version of Cargo Dragon, Dragon 2.

Original Entry: SpaceX will launch its next cargo resupply mission to the International Space Station (ISS) on December 2, 2020 at 12:50 pm ET from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center.

This is the company’s 21st ISS cargo mission under Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) contracts with NASA and is designated SpaceX CRS-21 or just SpX-21.

Among the cargo being delivered is a new, commercially-developed airlock (by Nanoracks).  NASA will hold a media briefing on November 20 to discuss it and other equipment and experiments on the flight.
