DESCRIPTION:The Committee on the Review of Progress Toward Implementing the Decadal Survey–Thriving on Our Changing Planet: A Decadal Strategy for Earth Observation from Space of the National Academies of Sciences\, Engineering and Medicine will meet at the Academies’ Beckman Center in Irvine\, CA from January 25-26\, 2024.  The committee is colloquially referred to as the “mid-term review” committee for the Decadal Survey. \nSome sessions are open and some are closed. According to the agenda as of January 20\, the only open session is on January 25 from 9:00-9:30 am PACIFIC time (12:00-12:30 pm Eastern) when NASA’s Earth Science Division Director Karen St. Germain will provide an update. Her presentation will be livestreamed.
