DESCRIPTION:NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine will give a keynote address at the 2019 Gastech conference in Houston\, TX.  The conference is Sept. 17-19\, 2019 at the NRG Center in Houston\, TX.  According to its website\, for the past 45 years\, the Gastech conference “has been at the forefront of the international gas\, LNG and energy market” and “the most significant meeting place for upstream\, midstream and downstream gas\, energy and LNG professionals\, where they convene to do business.” \nBridenstine will speak on September 19 from 9:00-9:30 am Central Time (10:00-10:30 am Eastern) about “Exploring the Role of LNG in Powering the Next Generation of Space Exploration.”  LNG is Liquified Natural Gas\, or methane. \nBoth Blue Origin and SpaceX are developing LNG-based rocket engines\, BE-4 and Raptor respectively.  BE-4 will be used for the United Launch Alliance’s new Vulcan rocket.  Raptor is being developed for SpaceX’s Starship and its Super Heavy first stage. \nMore information is on the event’s website.
