DESCRIPTION:NASA’s Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel will report on its most recent meetings with NASA on June 22\, 2026 at 2:00 pm ET.  The public may listen to ASAP’s statements via telephone only.  Public comments\, but not questions\, are permitted. \nMore information and the telephone number to call is in the Federal Register notice\, which is reproduced below. \n  \nName of Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel; Meeting.\n\nAGENCY: National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).\n\nACTION: Notice of meeting.\n\n-----------------------------------------------------------------------\n\nSUMMARY: In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act\, the \nNational Aeronautics and Space Administration announces a forthcoming \nmeeting of the Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel (ASAP).\n\nDATES: Monday\, June 22\, 2026\, 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.\, Eastern time.\n\nADDRESSES: Public attendance will be virtual only. See dial in \ninformation below under SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION.\n\nFOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Ms. Marcia Guignard\, ASAP \nAdministrative Officer\, NASA Headquarters\, Washington\, DC 20546\, (202) \n358-4717 or marcia.guinard@nasa.gov.\n\nSUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel (ASAP) \nwill hold its Second Quarterly Meeting for 2026. This discussion is \npursuant to carrying out its statutory duties for which the Panel \nreviews\, identifies\, evaluates\, and advises on those program \nactivities\, systems\, procedures\, and management activities that can \ncontribute to program risk. Priority is given to those programs that \ninvolve the safety of human flight. The agenda will include:\n\n--Updates on the Commercial Crew Program\n--Update on Commercial LEO Development Programs\n--Updates on Advanced Exploration Systems Development Program\n--Updates on Health and Human Exploration\n\n    This meeting is only available telephonically. Any interested \nperson may call the USA toll free conference call number 800-369-3107; \npasscode 3116192 and then the # sign. At the beginning of the meeting\, \nmembers of the public may make a verbal presentation to the Panel on \nthe subject of safety in NASA\, not to exceed 5 minutes in length. To do \nso\, members of the public must contact Ms. Marcia Guignard\, at \nmarcia.guignard@nasa.gov\, or at (202) 358-4717 at least 48 hours in \nadvance. Any member of the public is permitted to file a written \nstatement with the Panel via electronic submission to Ms. Guignard at \nthe email address previously noted. Verbal presentations and written \nstatements should be limited to the subject of safety in NASA. It is \nimperative that the meeting be held on this date to accommodate the \nscheduling priorities of the key participants.
