DESCRIPTION:NASA’s Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel (ASAP) will hold “part 2” of its quarterly meeting on May 15\, 2020 from 3:00-3:45 pm ET.  The meeting will take place virtually. \nThe panel met on April 23\, but had not been able to conduct all of its preparatory meetings with NASA officials because of the coronavirus pandemic.  They anticipate completing their work in early May and this public meeting will discuss those additional topics\, which include the commercial crew program. \nThe public may listen to the telecon by following the instructions in the Federal Register notice\, which is reproduced below. \nSUMMARY: In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act\, the \nNational Aeronautics and Space Administration announces a forthcoming \nmeeting of the Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel.\n\nDATES: Friday\, May 15\, 2020\, 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.\, Eastern Time.\n\nADDRESSES: Virtual meeting by teleconference only.\n\nFOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT:  Ms. Lisa M. Hackley\, Administrative \nOfficer\, Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel\, NASA Headquarters\, \nWashington\, DC 20546\, (202) 358-1947 or lisa.m.hackley@nasa.gov.\n\nSUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel (ASAP) \nwill hold Part 2 of its Second Quarterly Meeting for 2020. This \ndiscussion is pursuant to carrying out its statutory duties for which \nthe Panel reviews\, identifies\, evaluates\, and advises on those program \nactivities\, systems\, procedures\, and management activities that can \ncontribute to program risk. Priority is given to those programs that \ninvolve the safety of human flight. The agenda will include:\n--Updates on the Commercial Crew Program\n--Updates on Human Lunar Exploration Program.\n    This meeting is a virtual meeting\, and only available \ntelephonically. The\n\n[[Page 24038]]\n\nmeeting will be open to the public. Any interested person may call the \nUSA toll free conference call number 800-988-9661; passcode 5009142 and \nthen the # sign. At the beginning of the meeting\, members of the public \nmay make a verbal presentation to the Panel on the subject of safety in \nNASA\, not to exceed 5 minutes in length. To do so\, members of the \npublic must contact Ms. Lisa M. Hackley at lisa.m.hackley@nasa.gov or \nat (202) 358-1947 at least 48 hours in advance. Any member of the \npublic is permitted to file a written statement with the Panel at the \ntime of the meeting. Verbal presentations and written comments should \nbe limited to the subject of safety in NASA. It is imperative that the \nmeeting be held on this date to accommodate the scheduling priorities \nof the key participants.
