DESCRIPTION:NASA’s Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel will meet at Johnson Space Center (JSC) on October 11\, 2018.  Its open session is from 10:45 am – 12:00 pm Central Time (11:45 am – 1:00 pm Eastern). \nAudio of the meeting will be available publicly by following the instructions in the Federal Register notice\, which is reproduced below. \nSUMMARY: In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act\, Public \nLaw 92-463\, as amended\, the National Aeronautics and Space \nAdministration announces a forthcoming meeting of the Aerospace Safety \nAdvisory Panel.\n\nDATES: Thursday\, October 11\, 2018\, 10:45 a.m. to 12 p.m.\, Central Time.\n\nADDRESSES: NASA Johnson Space Center\, Building 1\, Room 966\, 2101 NASA \nParkway\, Houston\, TX 77058.\n\nFOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Ms. Evette Whatley\, Aerospace Safety \nAdvisory Panel Administrative Officer\, NASA Headquarters\, Washington\, \nDC 20546\, (202) 358-4733\, or email at evette.whatley@nasa.gov .\n\nSUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel (ASAP) \nwill hold its Fourth Quarterly Meeting for 2018. This discussion is \npursuant to carrying out its statutory duties for which the Panel \nreviews\, identifies\, evaluates\, and advises on those program \nactivities\, systems\, procedures\, and management activities that can \ncontribute to program risk. Priority is given to those programs that \ninvolve the safety of human flight. The agenda will include:\n\n Updates on the Exploration Systems Development\n Updates on the Commercial Crew Program\n Updates on the International Space Station Program\n\n    The meeting will be open to the public up to the seating capacity \nof the room. Seating will be on a first-come basis. This meeting is \nalso available telephonically. Any interested person may call the USA \ntoll free conference call number (888) 566-6575; pass code 3391926. \nAttendees will be required to sign a visitor's register and to comply \nwith NASA security requirements\, including the presentation of a valid \npicture ID\, before receiving an access badge. Any member of the public \ndesiring to attend the ASAP 2018 Fourth Quarterly Meeting at the \nJohnson Space Center must provide their full name and company \naffiliation (if applicable) to Ms. Stephanie Castillo at \nstephanie.m.castillo@nasa.gov or by fax 281-483-2200 or telephone 281-\n483-3341 by October 1\, 2018. Foreign Nationals attending the meeting \nwill be required to provide a copy of their passport and visa\, in \naddition to providing the following information by September 18\, 2018: \nFull name; gender; date/place of birth; citizenship; visa information \n(number\, type\, expiration date); passport information (number\, country\, \nexpiration date); employer/affiliation information (name of \ninstitution\, address\, country\, telephone); and title/position of \nattendee. Additional information may be requested. Permanent Residents \nshould provide this information: Green card number and expiration date. \nPersons with disabilities who require assistance should indicate this. \nPhotographs will only be permitted during the first 10 minutes of the \nmeeting.\n    At the beginning of the meeting\, members of the public may make a \nverbal presentation to the Panel on the subject of safety in NASA\, not \nto exceed 5-minutes in length. Any member of the public is \npermitted to file a written statement with the Panel at the time of the \nmeeting. Verbal presentations and written comments should be limited to \nthe subject of safety in NASA. It is imperative that the meeting be \nheld on this date to accommodate the scheduling priorities of the key \nparticipants.
