DESCRIPTION:NASA’s Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel will hold a public session on October 27\, 2022 from 1:30-3:00 pm ET. \nThis meeting was originally scheduled for September 29\, but was postponed. The postponement was not announced in the Federal Register. A NASA official told SpacePolicyOnline.com that ASAP did meet in September\, it was only the public session that was postponed. \nUnofficial sources say the Panel divided its meeting into two parts because the attempted launches of Artemis I in late August/early September meant some of the reviews it planned to conduct could not take place as scheduled. They will finish the reviews in October and then hold the public session. \nOn October 6\, the Federal Register published this notice. The public may listen to the meeting via telephone. Instructions are in the notice. \nSUMMARY: In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act\, the \nNational Aeronautics and Space Administration announces a forthcoming \nmeeting of the Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel (ASAP).\n\nDATES: Thursday\, October 27\, 2022\, 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.\, Eastern \nStandard Time.\n\nADDRESSES: NASA Headquarters\, 300 E. This discussion is pursuant to \ncarrying out its statutory duties for which the Panel reviews\, \nidentifies\, evaluates\, and advises on those program activities\, \nsystems\, procedures\, and management activities that can contribute to \nprogram risk. Priority is given to those programs that involve the \nsafety of human flight. The agenda will include:\n\n--Updates on the International Space Station Program\n--Updates on the Commercial Crew Program\n--Updates on Exploration System Development Program\n--Updates on Advanced Exploration Systems Program\n--Updates on Human Lunar Exploration Program\n\n    This meeting is only available telephonically. At the beginning of the meeting\, \nmembers of the public may make a verbal presentation to the Panel on \nthe subject of safety in NASA\, not to exceed 5 minutes in length. Any member of the public is permitted to file a written \nstatement with the Panel via electronic submission to Ms. Hackley at \nthe email address previously noted. It is \nimperative that the meeting be held on this date to accommodate the \nscheduling priorities of the key participants.\n
