DESCRIPTION:NASA and Boeing announced late today (Thursday) that they will hold a media telecon tomorrow\, February 7\, 2020\, at 3:30 pm ET to discuss the Independent Review Team investigation into software anomalies on Boeing’s Orbital Flight Test of its Starliner commercial crew system in December. \nThe decision to hold the telecon came hours after NASA’s Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel (ASAP) revealed that a second software error was discovered during the flight by ground controllers who were able to fix it in-flight.  ASAP reported that if it had not been discovered and fixed\, the result would have been catastrophic.  We posted an article about ASAP’s report earlier today. \nAudio of the telecon will be livestreamed on NASA Live.  Participants are: \n\nNASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine\nJim Chilton\, senior vice president\, Boeing Space and Launch\nDouglas Loverro\, associate administrator\, NASA’s Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate\nKathy Lueders\, program manager\, NASA’s Commercial Crew Program\nJohn Mulholland\, vice president and program manager\, Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner Program
