DESCRIPTION:NASA Commercial Crew Program Manager Steve Stich and Boeing Vice President and Program Manager\, Commercial Crew\, Mark Nappi will hold a media telecon on July 10\, 2024 at 12:30 pm ET to discuss the status of the Boeing Starliner Crew Flight Test. \nNASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams launched on the Boeing CFT mission on June 5\, 2024 and docked with the International Space Station the next day for what was expected to be an 8-day visit. They are still there a month later as Boeing conducts tests to determine why five Reaction Control System thrusters failed (four have resumed operations) and five helium leaks occurred in the capsule’s Service Module. A date for when they return has not been announced\, but NASA and Boeing insist Starliner is safe to return the crew to Earth at any time. \nWilmore and Williams will hold an on-orbit news conference on Wednesday at 11:00 am ET\, followed by this media telecon at 12:30 pm ET. Audio will be livestreamed on NASA Live.
