DESCRIPTION:NASA will host a “live chat” on September 7\, 2018 at 2:00 pm ET to discuss the Dawn mission\, which is coming to an end.  Dawn visited the dwarf planet Ceres and the asteroid Vesta to obtain data to characterize the early solar system.  Both are remnants of the formation of the solar system. \nThe chat will air live on NASA’s Facebook Live\, Ustream\, and YouTube channels and on the agency’s website. \nParticipants are: \n\nJim Green\, NASA chief scientist\nCarol Raymond\, Dawn principal investigator at JPL\nMarc Rayman\, Dawn mission director and chief engineer at JPL\n\nThe public may ask questions via Twitter using the hashtag #askNASA or in the comment section of the JPL Facebook page.
