DESCRIPTION:This morning NASA announced that it will hold a media telecon today\, June 24\, 2022\, at 2:00 pm ET\, to discuss the Psyche mission. The launch of Psyche\, a mission to study an asteroid made of metal\, on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy already has been delayed from August 1\, the beginning of its launch window\, due to software problems. \nAccording to a NASA post on the Psyche website two days ago\, NASA is evaluating whether it will be ready for the current launch window\, September 20-October 11. \nThe telecon will air on NASA Live. \nParticipants are: \n\nLori Glaze\, director of NASA’s Planetary Science Division at NASA Headquarters in Washington\nLaurie Leshin\, director of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California\nLindy Elkins-Tanton\, Psyche mission principal investigator\, Arizona State University\n\n
