DESCRIPTION:NASA will hold a media telecon on June 5\, 2023 at 4:00 pm ET to discuss the final results of the Independent Review Board (IRB) on the Psyche asteroid mission. Psyche missed its August 2022 launch window because engineers ran out of time to test the spacecraft’s software. The launch was delayed to October 2023 with associated increased costs. \nThe IRB was chaired by Tom Young\, a former NASA and industry executive often called upon to investigate troubled missions. The mission is managed at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena\, CA \nParticipants in the telecon are: \n\nNicola Fox\, associate administrator for Science Mission Directorate\, NASA Headquarters\nLori Glaze\, division director for Planetary Sciences\, NASA Headquarters\nLaurie Leshin\, director\, Jet Propulsion Laboratory\nThomas Young\, chair\, independent review board\n\nAudio will stream on NASA Live. \n
