DESCRIPTION:NASA will hold a live Science Chat on November 7\, 2018 at 2:oo pm ET that will air on Facebook Live\, NASA Television\, Ustream\, YouTube and the agency’s website. \nParticipants are: \n\nHal Weaver\, New Horizons Project Scientist\, Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory\nMelissa Morris\, OSIRIS-REx Deputy Program Scientist\, NASA Headquarters\n\nThey will discuss the upcoming arrival of NASA’s OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return mission at its destination\, Bennu\, on December 3\, and the upcoming flyby on New Year’s Day of a Kuiper Belt Object nicknamed Ultima Thule by NASA’s New Horizons mission\, which flew past Pluto in 2015.  Ultima Thule is 4 billion miles from Earth.  The New Horizons spacecraft will come three times closer to Ultima Thule than it did Pluto. \nMedia may submit questions before and during the event by emailing JoAnna Wendel at joanna.r.wendel@nasa.gov. The public may ask questions on Twitter by using the hashtag #askNASA or by leaving a comment on the livestream of the event on the NASA Solar System page.
