DESCRIPTION:NASA will hold a “science chat” on September 19\, 2018 at 1:00 pm ET about the upcoming encounter of the New Horizons spacecraft with the Kuiper Belt Object (KBO) nicknamed Ultima Thule.   New Horizons will fly past the KBO on New Year’s Eve. \nParticipants in the chat are: \n\nJim Green\, NASA Chief Scientist\nAlan Stern\, New Horizons Principal Investigator\, Southwest Research Institute\nAlice Bowman\, New Horizos Mission Operations Manager\, Johns Hopkins University Applied Physical Lab\n\nThe event will air on Facebook Live\, NASA Television\, Ustream\, YouTube and the agency’s website.  The public can ask questions on Twitter using the hashtag #askNASA or by leaving a comment on the stream of the event on the New Horizons Facebook page.
