DESCRIPTION:Update\, February 8:  The State of NASA events are still on track to take place on February 12\, the day President Trump is expected to submit his FY2019 budget request to Congress.  The budget will be posted to NASA’s website at noon February 12. \nActinng NASA Administrator Robert Lightfoot will address the NASA workforce at 1:0o pm ET from Marshall Space Flight Center (instead of Michoud) and it will be broadcast on NASA TV. \nAt 5:00 pm ET\, NASA Acting CFO Andrew Hunter will brief the media via teleconference.  It will be streamed on NASALive. \n  \nUpdate\, January 25:  These annual State of NASA events are held in conjunction with the release of the President’s Budget Request for whatever year.  The Trump Administration announced yesterday that it is delaying the release of its FY2019 budget request from February 5 to February 12.  NASA is now rescheduling these events to February 12.  Details will be posted here in due course. \nOriginal Entry:  NASA will hold “State of NASA” events at its field centers across the nation on February 5\, 2018.  A NASA press release provides more detail on the events at each location. \nSocial media followers and news media are invited to participate.  Social media must apply for credentials by noon on January 19\, 2018.  Instructions are in the press release. \nThe NASA Centers participating in the events are located as follows: \n\nAmes Research Center\, Moffett Field\, CA\nArmstrong Flight Research Center\, Edwards\, CA\nGlenn Research Center\, Cleveland\, OH\nGoddard Space Flight Center\, Greenbelt\, MD\nJet Propulsion Laboratory\, Pasadena\, CA\nJohnson Space Center\, Houston\, TX\nKennedy Space Center\, FL\nLangley Research Center\, Hampton\, VA\nMichoud Assembly Facility\, New Orleans\, LA and Stennis Space Center\, Bay St. Louis\, MS\n\nMarshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville\, AL is not on the list\, but it operates the Michoud Assembly Facility. \nActing NASA Administrator Robert Lightfoot will be at Michoud\, where the Space Launch System is being built.  His talk will be simulcast on NASA TV among all the Centers.  The press release does not state what time that will take place.
