DESCRIPTION:The National Space-Based Positioning\,Navigation and Timing (PNT) Advisory Board will meet November 20-21\, 2019 at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront\, Cocoa Beach\, FL on November 20-21\, 2019.  The meeting on November 20 is 8:30 am – 5:30 pm ET and on November 21 is 8:30 am – 1:00 pm ET. \nMore information is in the Federal Register notice\, which is reproduced below. \nSUMMARY: In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act\, as \namended\, and the President's 2004 U.S. Space-Based Positioning\, \nNavigation\, and Timing (PNT) Policy\, the National Aeronautics and Space \nAdministration (NASA) announces a meeting of the National Space-Based \nPositioning\, Navigation\, and Timing (PNT) Advisory Board.\n\nDATES: Wednesday\, November 20\, 2019\, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and \nThursday\, November 21\, 2019\, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.\, Local Time.\n\nADDRESSES: Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront\, Grand Ballroom\, 1550 North \nAtlantic Ave. Cocoa Beach\, Florida\, 32931.\n\nFOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Mr. James J. Visitors will be requested to sign a visitor's register.\n    The agenda for the meeting includes the following topics:\n     Update on U.S. Space-Based Positioning\, Navigation and \nTiming (PNT) Policy and Global Positioning System (GPS) modernization.\n     Prioritize current and planned GPS capabilities and \nservices while assessing future PNT architecture alternatives with a \nfocus on affordability.\n     Examine methods in which to Protect\, Toughen\, and Augment \n(PTA) access to GPS/Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) services \nin key domains for multiple user sectors.\n     Assess economic impacts of GPS/GNSS on the United States \nand in select international regions\, with a consideration towards \neffects of potential PNT service disruptions if radio spectrum \ninterference is introduced.\n     Review the potential benefits\, perceived vulnerabilities\, \nand any proposed regulatory constraints to accessing foreign Radio \nNavigation Satellite Service (RNSS) signals in the United States and \nsubsequent impacts on multi-GNSS receiver markets.\n     Explore opportunities for enhancing the interoperability \nof GPS with other emerging international GNSS.\n     Examine emerging trends and requirements for PNT services \nin U.S. and international fora through PNT Board technical assessments\, \nincluding back-up services for terrestrial\, maritime\, aviation\, and \nspace users.
