SUMMARY:NEXT STEP SPACE WEATHER BENCHMARKS TOWN HALL\, Sept 26\, 2019\, DC\, 8:00 am-5:00 pm ET
DESCRIPTION:The National Science Foundation (NSF) and NASA will sponsor a Town Hall meeting on September 26\, 2019 from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm ET at the Embassy Suites DC-Convention Center in Washington\, DC on “Next Step Space Weather Benchmarks.” \nAccording to its website\, participants will discuss a draft of the Next Step Space Weather Benchmarks report that is being produced by 32 of the world’s leading space weather scientists. The first day (September 26) is open to the broad space weather community. Feedback will be incorporated into the final report\, as appropriate\, and delivered to NSF. \nFor more information and to register to attend the public day\, visit the event’s website.   Organizers tell us there will NOT be a livestream. \nFollowing the workshop\, the Secure World Foundation and the State Department will host an evening panel discussion and networking reception from 6:00-8:30 pm ET.
