SUMMARY:NG-23 CARGO MISSION ARRIVES AT ISS\, Sept 18\, 2025\, Earth orbit\, 5:45/7:18/8:25 am ET
DESCRIPTION:Update\, September 17\, 9:50 pm ET:  NASA has now issued a press release confirming NG-23’s arrival tomorrow and explaining the problem yesterday was “an early warning system initiated a shutdown command and ended the main engine burn because of a conservative safeguard in the software settings.” \n \n  \nUpdate\, September 17\, 8:10 pm ET:  NASA’s list of events shows NG-23 arriving at the ISS tomorrow\, Thursday\, but we haven’t seen a press release or anything else confirming that or explaining how they resolved the propulsion system problem. \n \nUpdate\, September 16:  The NG-23 Cygnus has experienced a propulsion system problem and arrival at the ISS will be delayed as NASA and NG determine how to compensate for it.  A new arrival date is TBD as of 6:30 pm ET today. \nOriginal Entry: If launch of Northrop Grumman’s NG-23 Cygnus spacecraft with cargo for the International Space Station crew is on time on September 14\, it will arrive at the ISS on September 17 at 6:35 am ET. \nCygnus berths to the ISS rather than docks\, so it is captured by Canadarm2 and then installed onto a docking port. \nNASA coverage begins at 5:00 am ET for the 6:35 am ET arrival. Coverage of the installation of Cygnus onto the docking port begins at 8:00 am ET. Watch on NASA+ and Amazon Prime. \n  \n
